Not sure if the dog knows it was the cats home and they have to get along but it seems to work most of the time better that way. Dog's are for the most part more friendly and welcoming where as there is usually a longer adjustment period with cats. They can live together though, it just takes time. Whenever they see him they go in to a wiggle frenzy and are constantly licking him and trying to get him to play. I wish they could take a more sedate approach to the little monster!
