i always use na towel to dry my dogs and leave one on the floor for them to rub on they seem to enjoy this and have fun. i would never use a cage and heater as a dog could be burned.

The second method of drying is known as cage or kennel drying and is usually used on short-coated dogs or on dogs whose coat does not require a fluffed or straight appearance.

hmm... interesting that you would say that towel drying is commonly used for small breeds. since i would rather use towel drying over anything else for my dog, a husky. i think it is better tham using a dryer of any sort since they would be in a cage or have a blow dryer really close to them. i think it is better to do a towel dry than anything else since it is much more quiet. while it may take longer to dry the dog, just think of it as time spent bonding with your dog. ^_^
