Review – Dove Cresswell’s Puppy Training & Dog Training Online
By Sandra Scott
Who’s Dove Cresswell?
As a professional dog trainer for movies, TV and commercials, Dove Cresswell has established herself as an expert in this field.
Although she is only 25 years old, she has over 10 years of experience in training dogs of all sizes and from various different breeds. As well as dogs, Dove has also trained animals such as large reptiles, birds, rodents, deer, and cougars.
As a dog trainer for movies, she is expected to deliver quick results as time is money in the movie business. You can anticipate similarly fast results with her online dog training course.

So What Is Covered?
The following seven lessons are taught online in audio/video format:
- Puppy Potty Training/Housetraining
- Dog Obedience Training
- Crate Training
- Walking Politely on a Leash: The Informal Heel
- The Recall
- Good Puppy & Dog Manners
- Special Dog Tricks
The lesson on puppy house training offers tips for both toy breeds and larger breeds.
What I Especially Liked
The sections are fun and waste no time in getting to the point. They are clearly narrated with well-illustrated slides that make it easy to understand the dos and don’ts of dog training. The multimedia format definitely has its advantages as dog owners can see the correct positions for themselves and their dogs, plus they can hear the voice tones to be used. This part of the online dog training course is superior to an ebook.
Although this course is not as extensive as some of the dog training e-books in areas such as dog behavior issues and specific dog breed information, it is jam-packed with informative and well-presented dog obedience and housetraining advice for dog owners.
Dove presents a very interesting and common-sense perspective on paper training. Dove is of the opinion that paper training is confusing for dogs and should not be used. Training puppies to always “go potty” outside is explained in a highly informative and easy to follow way.
Free Extras
You will be able to e-mail Dove with your own dog behavior problems once you have purchased the course:
- Teach your dog to fetch
- Train your dog to play soccer
- Train your dog to play hide ‘n seek
- Information on dog sports
- Choosing the right toys for your dog
- Earning your dog’s respect
- Choosing the right dog food and treats
In Summary
My first reaction was one of surprise that only seven lessons were included in this premium program; once I actually listened to the lessons and discovered just how much information was offered in the course, I quickly changed my opinion. I found this multimedia online dog training program most enjoyable; so much so that I would have liked it to have been longer. The lessons are very easy to follow and you can copy the techniques to train your own dog as effectively as the professional dog trainer.
The one negative of this course is that it can only be used over the internet so people without an internet connection cannot view it. It is for this reason that I have given it a 4 ½ star rating. If it was also available as an e-book, I would definitely give it the highest possible rating.
This course would be ideal for all dog owners wanting a top notch dog training guide, however, I feel that it is especially appealing to people who find ebooks boring. So you know what to expect , you are invited to view a sample lesson before you buy the course.
I strongly recommend that you take a look at Dove Cresswell’s outstanding course for all your dog training needs: Dove Cresswell.
