My kids are always going on at me about getting a puppy but I keep putting them off as I just don’t want all the work! I love dogs but there is so much to think about when training a puppy and not all of it is fun. Reading this post has reminded me jusr what is involved…maybe one day I will give in and we will get one but not just yet.

It would need more practice and studying of the breed standard to know if a puppy is a genuine purebred or a sub-standard one which is a result of poor and irresponsible breeding. Can you please through some light upon this stuff. I wan to buy a puppy. and need some guidance.

I Love this blog! I been thinking hard on what kind of dog I really want and I thought I had an idea until I saw this. You really have me thinking harder on choices of different dogs through your other blogs. If I could, I’d give you a hug! Thanks for this very detailed and articulate article. I’m a HUGE dog lover and spend much of my time educating people on the ‘care and feeding’ of dogs. Dogs are, indeed, a special kind of creature; so many people just don’t get it. This is a wonderful example of someone who DOES (get it!). Thank you.

Very good tips for those getting a new puppy for the first time, or even those who already have a dog. There’s so many little things one must be careful about with a new pup that many people just don’t know and it affects the dog in later life.

With a dog come many responsibilities, especilaly when they are pups. I think teaching your child to handle the responsibilities that come with a dog is a great way to build character and growth.

Useful tips on the things that are needed to keep a puppy. A puppy that is less than 6 months old will mess up your home. Housebreaking a puppy takes time, and one has to do a lot of cleaning up at this stage. Your tone of voice is enough to show your puppy that you are unhappy that she has relieved herself indoors. Don’t delay — if you show displeasure after some time, she will not know what has upset you. Take her out frequently and praise her immediately when she relieves herself outdoors. Be patient and give her a lot of love and affection. She will respond positively and learn quickly!

I plan to get either a puppy or a dog once we move into our own place. It does sound like it can be a bit of a challenge training a puppy though. As cute as a puppy is, perhaps a full grown dog that is already trained would be a better choice for us. I just wonder which would get along with our cats best? Do you think it would be better to get a puppy who gets used to them right away or an older dog who has already been around cats a lot?

yeah.great point. when our child want a puppy is not just about find the profitable shop for dog adopter only. find the cheapest site maybe.

because there is lot of things need to be done and know better. especially how to keep dog healthier.

even training a dog to make us as a pet lover is important to control their behavior.
